NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Hot Springs, South Dakota, will receive sealed written bids at the Office of the Public Works Engineer in City Hall, 303 North River Street, Hot Springs, South Dakota until 12PM on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 for the 2023 City of Hot Springs Multiple Roof Repair/Replacement Project

Bids will be opened at 1:15PM on February 28, 2023 and publicly read aloud at the Public Works Committee meeting held at the Mueller Civic Center at 801 S. 6th Street, Hot Springs, SD.

This project is for roofing replacement and/or repairs on the following five (5) City buildings: Southern Hills Golf Course Club House, Mueller Civic Center, Hot Springs Public Library, Evans Pumping Station and City Hall

All proposals shall be submitted on forms provided by the City of Hot Springs. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or cashier’s check for an amount of 5% of the total bid, or a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid. Such check or bid bond shall be used as a bid security in the event the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract and post an approved bond with the City within ten (10) days after the formal acceptance of the bid. The check shall be drawn on a solvent bank or an approved surety company.

The contract documents and specifications may be examined at the following locations on and after February 1, 2023:

      – Public Works Engineer’s Office, City of Hot Springs, South Dakota

      – Construction and Industry Center, Rapid City, South Dakota

Copies of the contract documents, plans, and specifications may be obtained at the Office of the Public Works Engineer, 303 North River Street, Hot Springs, South Dakota, 57747 at no charge.

Sealed bids must be plainly marked to identify their contents. No bid shall be withdrawn after the filing time without the written consent of the Hot Springs City Council, for a period of thirty (30) days after the filing time. The City Council of the City of Hot Springs, South Dakota reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to waive any informalities or technicalities in bidding, and to accept the bid that is to the advantage of, and in the best interest of, the City of Hot Springs.
