EDA awards the Rapid City Economic Development Foundation over $8 million grant on June 5, 2019

The US Economic Development Administration awarded the Rapid City Economic Development Foundation a grant worth $8,719,715 to help fund a project in Pennington County.

The grant was awarded on June 5, 2019. The EDA describes the grant as follows:

"This EDA investment funds the construction of a new incubator facility to promote the formation of sustainable manufacturing and technology-based businesses in a designated Opportunity Zone in Rapid City, South Dakota. The completion of the project will support new innovations in science, technology and engineering industries and business expansion that will help create new jobs for the region's workforce."
