National American University-Rapid City enrolls 1,421 undergrads

At National American University-Rapid City, 86 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 72 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private for-profit institution in Rapid City enrolled 1,665 students in fall 2018, including 1,421 in undergraduate and 244 in graduate programs, data shows. 18 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

13 percent of undergraduates are residents of South Dakota, and 73 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (43 percent) and Black or African American (38 percent).
