Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Black Hills Beauty College

Tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Black Hills Beauty College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

South Dakota students paid $13,426 to attend the two-year private for-profit institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Data shows 78 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 23 students received grants or scholarships totaling $109,033 and 18 students took out student loans totaling more than $110,082.

Including all undergraduates (67), 50 students used grants or scholarships totaling $267,330, and 48 students took out $338,298 in federal student loans.
