Of the 2,477 people living in Summerset in 2019, 47.6 percent (1,178) were women and 52.4 percent (1,299) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Western South Dakota News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 750-to-736. In the 65 and over age range, there were 168 females and 163 males.
