Of the 1,470 people living in Porcupine in 2019, 45.6 percent (671) were women and 54.4 percent (799) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Western South Dakota News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 401-to-348. In the 65 and over age range, there were 34 females and 14 males.
