Of the 1,002 people living in Hill in 2019, 48.3 percent (484) were women and 51.7 percent (518) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Western South Dakota News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 310-to-269. In the 65 and over age range, there were 68 females and 59 males.
