The City of Hot Springs is hiring for Chief of Police! 

WORK HOURS/DAYS: 40 hours per week may include night, weekends and holidays-shifts vary-call outs possible

CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Non-Exempt

WAGE: DOEQ $34.00 TOP OF SCALE

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Mayor

POSITIONS SUPERVISED: Police Captain, Police Officers, Police Reserves, Police Administrative Assistant

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

The Chief of Police, is the department head for the Police Department. This position oversees and directs all activities of the Police Department for the City and for surrounding areas in certain mutual aid circumstances, enforcing Federal and State law and City ordinances. Responsibilities include strategic planning for use of resources, coordinating the activities of the department with those of other local departments and ensuring services provided and development plans are of the highest quality. The Chief of Police is accountable for accomplishing departmental planning and operational goals and objectives, ultimately furthering the goals of the City.
