"BEAUTIFUL MURAL The three-day North Rapid Community Mural Project on Anamosa Street"

BEAUTIFUL MURAL

The three-day North Rapid Community Mural Project on Anamosa Street was completed this afternoon, culminating in a beautiful, artistic collaboration and community celebration. Most of the participants who painted the mural were neighborhood youth. The project was funded by the Human Relations Commission/Mniluzahan Okolakiciyapi Ambassadors (HRC/MOA) and under the direction of Tyler Read.

Among the participants helping with the mural was Council member Laura Armstrong and John Olson, Tim Doyle and Eric Dwyer of the Rapid City police department.

The colorful mural says in large, bright block letters “Mitakuye Oyasin” (All our relatives, or we’re all related).
