Allie Shambaugh-Miller, NCPE Intern, wrote "If I asked you to imagine the "typical" National Historic Landmark, what would come to mind? You may think of the home of a president, a site of technological innovation, or a landscape rich with archeological artifacts. It is unlikely that a brothel makes the list".
