2021 has 3.3% of Meade County residents unemployed

Meade County recorded an unemployment rate of 3.3% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 546 people out of the 29,561 living in Meade County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Meade County has increased compared to the 2.3% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Meade County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 3.2%.

Of the 16,073 people who had a job during that time, 1,139 were employed in the Armed Forces and 14,934 belonged to the civilian labor force.
