12 coaches at institution in Lawrence County earned $43,055 on average in 2022

Lawrence County’s 12 coaches earned an average salary of $43,055 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the fourth lowest average salary per county earned by coaches at South Dakota post-secondary schools during 2022.

Lawrence County is home to just one post-secondary school which paid coaches during 2022.

Male coaches of men's teams received $47,783 on average in Lawrence County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $40,691.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
