U.S. Senate Majority Leader John Thune appeared on America's Newsroom on Fox News, where he discussed the unified Republican agenda and President Trump's accomplishments. Thune emphasized the need to renew American energy dominance, strengthen the economy, rebuild the military, and secure the border. He warned of a significant tax increase if current tax policies are not extended.
"It's renewing American energy dominance, strengthen the economy, rebuilding the military, and securing the border. And then, of course, we've got a huge tax increase at the end of the year, $4.5 trillion tax increase on the American people if we don't act to extend the current tax policy, the 2017 Trump tax cuts," Thune stated.
He also praised former President Trump's achievements during his first term and acknowledged his historic campaign efforts. "I think Bill, you know, his first presidency was historic in terms of the things that he accomplished on behalf of the American people and the respect that he brought for the United States on the global stage," Thune said.
Thune expressed commitment to supporting Trump's agenda: "We intend to support him and be good partners in getting that agenda done."
