City of Deadwood recently issued the following announcement.
The election is to elect a Mayor for a Three (3) – Term.  Candidates are Todd Weber and David R. Ruth, Jr. and individuals serving on the Election Board cannot be related to the candidates and must be a resident of the City of Deadwood.  Polls are open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, but poll workers must arrive prior to the opening of the polls to set up and prepare for the day.  Poll workers must also stay until ballots are counted.  The day typically runs from about 6:30 am to 7:30 pm and poll workers are not allowed to leave.  You must stay for the entire day.  The pay for Superintendent is $204.00 for the day and for clerks it is $180.00 for the day.  Coffee and donuts are provided in the morning, as well as lunch which will be delivered to you.  If you are interested in serving on the board or have any questions, please call Ronda Morrison at (605) 578-2600, Option 5 or ronda@cityofdeadwood.com.
