POSITION TITLE: Wastewater Department Foreman

CLASSIFICATION: Full-time, Non-exempt

WAGE: DOEQ $15.69 TOS – ability to raise base rate $1 per certification up to amounts required to run City system (see below)

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Public Works Engineer

The City of Hot Springs is accepting applications for the position of Wastewater Department Foreman. The Foreman is responsible for performing the tasks of a Water/Wastewater Maintenance Worker with additional leadership responsibilities. Leadership responsibilities include but are not limited to coordinating with the Public Works Engineer for capital improvement purchases, project scoping, project development and project oversight. Incumbent performs and plays a lead role in a wide variety of routine, sometimes heavy, skilled and semi-skilled duties related to the installation, operation, and maintenance of water mains, valves, services, meters, hydrants, and other water supply and distribution system facilities at frequent intervals to ensure that all aspects of the systems are functioning properly and in conformance with all Federal and State requirements and operating permit conditions. Assists in maintaining water quality by taking water samples and maintaining proper operation of water treatment equipment
