Position Details

The Ground Transportation Specialist operates and maintains the Airport parking system and enforces the Airport ground transportation program.  The position is responsible for assisting passengers and tenants with parking and ground transportation needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee daily parking operations.

Assist guests with their questions, problems, and concerns.

Educate guests in regard to parking and ground transportation policies.

Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner.

Act as traffic controller; control traffic at entrances/exits and the ground transportation island as needed.

Provide maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of parking equipment and tasks as directed.

Provide enforcement of ground transportation policy.

Monitor and enforce drop off curb and ground transportation parking.

Report any accidents, incidents, or safety concerns.

Perform vehicle counts and inventory as needed.

Perform cleanup of parking structure or lots as needed.

Works variable hours, to include weekends and holidays, and on-call as needed. 

Work is performed outdoors for extended periods of time, up to the entire duration of shift.  Employees are subject to environmental conditions including extreme heat and cold weather.

Additional Information:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge modern technology.  This includes computer use and tablet style devices.  Basic mechanical skills and troubleshooting abilities.

Age Requirement: Must be age 18 or older. 

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Must possess a valid driver’s license or ability to obtain prior to hire.
