City of Box Elder recently issued the following announcement.
The Roads Department has been working to improve the shoulders around the Douglas Schools and on Box Elder Road, as weather permits. They also have been working to keep the streets sanded and safe during our recent weather events to minimize accidents within our community. Additionally, they have begun to work to straighten leaning posts, repair or replace signs due to fading, vandalism, or wind damage. Finally, some members attended the 2022 South Dakota Asphalt Conference and were educated on how to maintain and extend the service life of our roadway infrastructure.
